    Today, the role of spiritual knowledge and ideas as the basis for the formation of national self-awareness of each people is increasing.

    The program of the elective course “Mentality of the Russian People” is compiled in accordance with the concept of the leading role of the Russian nation as the titular one in the history of the formation of Russian civilization and mentality.

    The elective course is integrated in nature, including information about different types of art, literature, tools, crafts, philosophy, and architecture.

    The course is based on the history of material culture and art of Russia from the birth of the Slavic nation to the beginning of the 20th century, using the course of the Moscow Chemical Culture Centre.

    Target: formation in schoolchildren of an idea of ​​the Russian mentality as a unique value that embodies timeless spiritual and moral ideals.

    Tasks:

    • Show the stages of formation, the main features of the Russian mentality.
    • To give an idea of ​​the origins of the formation of mentality, to identify patterns of evolution in comparison with European traits.
