I have been doing events in Vladivostok since I was a student. He worked in the Department of Youth Affairs of the Administration of Vladivostok, was the curator of the festivals "Day M" in 2014 and "My Fest" in 2017, oversaw the competition of urban youth projects "Youth Initiative", organized Mind games Smart Games Club. this will multiply.

The project should always have a competent manager who monitors the execution and bears full responsibility. Any good public space can be spoiled by incompetent management almost immediately. Infrastructure only partially determines the success of a project. Much more important is who fills the site. If a party does not form in this place, it dies.

Event projects are not always a request from residents. More often, an event occurs first, forming a certain circle of spectators and participants,
and then it becomes part of the city. Without experience, I was not taken seriously for a long time. It was difficult to get support, so I made the first project with a very small budget from my own pocket. If there is no money, then the curator takes on the entire burden of responsibility: he becomes a driver, loader, cleaner, security guard, manager. Together, this does not always work out well.

It took us three years of growth to win. Before we tried to find money different ways, offering business integration into the project. However, we constantly faced the conservatism of local people, or refusals from federal companies. The solution was to create non-profit organization and grant support from the state. It is also important to say that significant help can always be found among other figures in Vladivostok. We treat each other with great respect, we are ready to help and give the necessary emotional charge.

In my opinion, the main problem remains not the availability of the budget, but human capital. Far Easterners are very isolated and individualistic, it is difficult for them to believe that a team project can be significant and bring income. Most are not ready to work hard, invest their time and energy in the implementation of something big, despite the opportunities.

According to studies conducted by various foundations and Rosstat, the outflow of young people is not at all due to low wages, but is associated with the lack of good leisure and comfortable infrastructure. While someone is changing the inner world of people with their projects, someone needs to take care of the physical changes in the city. Therefore, this year we will hold a workshop where we will try to create prototypes of new activity centers in Vladivostok.

Libraries of Vladivostok is not just one project, but a whole system of 22 sites and 160 employees. Now, when people talk about changes in the library system within the country, Vladivostok is mentioned very often. We have completely refurbished them. appearance, equipped technically and worked out new job responsibilities.

The project began in 2013 with the typical story of a city hater who went into one of the libraries and saw a classic story: a cat, cacti, white tulle and a paper filing cabinet. My grumbling on this topic led to the fact that the head of the city, Igor Pushkarev, said: "If you don't like it, go do it." I gathered a team of people with whom I had previously crossed paths on other projects and, importantly, invited young employees from fresh eyes and ideas.

The city's libraries do not have very large areas, so when developing the concept, we carefully studied the experience of the Japanese, who are able to effectively place the necessary infrastructure in a space deficit. Many things no longer need to be invented. To get started, explore all the ready-made solutions on the market.

Now the funding of the library system is several million less than in 2013, when there was no talk of modernization yet. However, this does not prevent us from bringing important cultural figures to Vladivostok. We can do all this by participating in grant competitions and fund programs.

Vladivostok always remembers everyone who tries to do something good.
For a radical transformation of public spaces, it is necessary to have interested people in power and management who are ready to formulate a request and make strong-willed decisions.

Politics was not a vital goal, but formed by itself. In 2013
with a change in the law on overhaul I organized a meeting at home, and one grandmother appeared who said: “You want to become a deputy at our expense!”. I am convinced that a clean and comfortable courtyard is the beginning of a country. You can always improve the space around with your own hands. Vladivostok is an incredibly beautiful, dynamic city. For example, now we need to develop public transport. Make it understandable, clean, convenient and stable. This is my fourth year on the project Dream Island". We organize events to improve the environment on the islands, in particular on Reineck.
In August, we annually hold an international environmental camp.

With a large team, we are eliminating landfills, planting greenery in the cleared areas, creating art objects with artists, demonstrating the possibilities of recycling waste. In addition to the camp, we constantly hold community work days: we call volunteers, rent a barge, go to the Rikord or Pakhtusov Islands, collect garbage and take it to the city for disposal. We do environmental quests on Russky Island. We are constantly engaged in eco-education and promotion of environmentally competent tourism.

To improve the environment, a lot of money is not needed. We received support for the first action only in kind: they gave us sacks, gloves, and covered the rent of a barge. We always work with the city administration, but gradually we began to attract various companies and individuals. Of course, it is difficult to organize such actions without money. The main costs are spent on transport, shipping and printing. If you are doing something high-quality and large-scale, then you need to attract money in different ways, but you need to start small - try yourself and understand whether it is worth continuing.

Now the task of our team is to establish a system of regular garbage collection
from the islands, to patrol new territories. Without working system it all comes down to nothing, and the landfills we clean up reappear.

Secondly, the Wikipedia term is missing a word that should be the first and key word. This is the word "social" or, more specifically, the phrase "socially significant".
It would seem, well, you think, the word is this or not, but the image of a public figure is created from the wording. And from here the tasks, and in general, the very meaning of social activity.

Also, for a full understanding, in my opinion, it is important to understand that his work is purposeful, focused and completely devoted to social activities.
And he no longer fits such concepts as "active citizenship", "activist", "volunteer", etc. He (or she) has - the approved status of "public figure".

If to determine on an emotional level: who is a public figure, I also tried to formulate, and I repeat:

This is a person who for many years, at the call of his heart, has made a personal and great contribution to one or another sphere of society.
